OTHER COSTSMany think Tokyo is an extremely expensive city, but in actuality, living expenses depend on your personal needs and can be downright reasonable.
In the close vincinity of our hotel and workspace you will find restaurants, bars and convenience stores that will cater to every budget. Going out for dinner to more upscale restaurants is easily going to be expensive, but the food at any isakaya (traditional Japanese diners) is generally delicious and affordable.
Just to give an indication, the costs for drinks is comparable to any other big city in the world, but food is generally cheap in Tokyo: a bowl of ramen (Japanese noodle soup) for lunch will cost about €5/$6, snacks and light lunches can be purchased at convenience stores for around €1, a cup of coffee is about €0,80/$1.
