GRAPHIC DESIGN ARNHEMWe are holding this year's Summer Session at our homebase, the department of Graphic Design at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in the city of Arnhem, the Netherlands.
Housed in the iconic Rietveld building designed by renowned De Stijl architect Gerrit Rietveld, the Summer Sessions will use the department's resources as the main base for the 14 day summer school. Studio spaces, labs, and equipment will be all made available to the participants of this year's Summer Sessions.
Available to the participants will be an A3 RISO machine, DJI drones, 60-inch touch screens, various long and short throw projectors and AV equipment, Arduinos and Rasberry Pis, GoPro cameras, Canon DSLRs, iPads and Apple pencils, iMacs, laserprinters, wide-format printers, cutting machines and other office equipment.
In these hallowed halls, we will work together, hold crits, organize lectures, and build the exhibition of the final results.
THE CITYThis edition of the Summer Sessions will be based in Arnhem, the Netherlands. A rich region in Holland, it will serve as an ample testing ground for field work and research.
THE ACCOMODATIONSYou will be accomodated in Townhouse 10, a stylish and cosy B&B is located in a quiet street, opposite to the Arnhem train- and bus station, with a view on the station square.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the studio spaces at the academy, and to the city center.
